Beginning July 16, 2026, an interactive public piano called SQUARE KEYS will be installed near the duck pond on Sonoma Plaza, inviting anyone to play or listen. A partnership between the Sebastiani Theatre Foundation and the City of Sonoma, the project was conceived by Tanner Walle from an inherited piano, which Sonoma artist Leah Tumerman will decorate over three days. It is among the first efforts under the city's new Public Art Program and required no city funding.
