Beginning August 10, Sonoma County Transit will launch Route 40X, a redesigned weekday pilot linking Sonoma Plaza with the Petaluma Downtown SMART station. The service offers three morning and three afternoon trips in each direction, timed around peak SMART train arrivals and departures. It responds to rider requests for an easier way to reach the SMART corridor without driving the full distance.
