Sonoma Valley High School's varsity baseball team overcame a fourth-place league finish to win the 2026 North Coast Section Division 5 title, ending an 18-year sectional drought. The Dragons beat four opponents in the tournament, capped by a 5-2 title-game win over Montgomery, powered by league MVP Colin Buckley and standouts Cayden Waldrop and pitcher Max Trexler. As NCS champions they reached the NorCal playoffs, where they fell 3-0 to top-seeded Half Moon Bay.
