The Woodside Fire, which broke out Thursday night on the Sonoma County coast west of Highway 1 near Jenner, had burned 140 acres by late evening and prompted evacuation orders affecting hundreds of residents. Farm Camp, a private children's sleep-away camp in Cazadero, evacuated roughly 150 people, including nearly 100 children, by bus to Petaluma. Evacuation zones include Salt Point State Park, the Timber Cove subdivision and several coastal campgrounds. Smoke reached inland areas, reviving memories of earlier Northern California fires.
